Barbara Tripp WilliamsBarbara Tripp Williams, age 99, passed away April 25 peacefully in her home in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

In the two weeks preceding her death Barbara was visited by her entire family: daughter Sabra and husband Jim McNabb, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Carol Williams, five grandchildren and their spouses and five great grandons.

Barbara was born in Presque Isle, Maine and is predeceased by her parents the Reverend James

Woodbury and Jessie Lillis Tripp, Barbara’s husband Ralph C. Williams and two brothers Norman and Frederick Tripp.

Barbara graduated Phi Beta Kappa from St. Lawrence University and obtained her Master of Science from the University of the State of New York. Barbara taught Latin and English in high schools in New York State and then moved into elementary education, teaching at Harbor School in Baldwin New York.

Upon retirement, Barbara and Ralph moved to Brevard, North Carolina where she was active in AAUW and St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed golfing, bridge, music, reading and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains
